Be Prepared. Be Protected.
Flooding occurs nationwide at various times throughout the year. During these periods, our products see a significant increase in demand, and having them prepared in advance of major weather events is crucial for successful sales.
Seasonal Weather Trends
In order for you & your customers to see the most success in minimizing flood damage, it’s important to stock up & prepare in key areas at the right times.

Q1: Jan-Mar
Atmospheric rivers are responsible for 80% of all flooding damage on the West Coast. As climate change warms the planet, the number of days that the western U.S. will experience atmospheric rivers is projected to increase. (*During years where El Niño or La Niña is present, these areas tend to have a higher flood potential.)

Q2: Apr-Jun
During early spring, frozen land prevents melting snow or rainfall from seeping into the ground. Water runs off the surface and flows into lakes, streams, and rivers, causing excess water to spill over their banks.

Q3: Jul-Sep
An average Atlantic hurricane season sees the first named storm typically form in mid to late June, the first hurricane tends to form in early to mid-August, and the first major hurricane forms in late August or early September.

Q4: Oct-Dec
The amount of precipitation falling in heavy rain events has increased substantially across the United States. Heavy rains are also getting more frequent in many parts of the country. (*During years where El Niño or La Niña is present, these areas tend to have a higher flood potential.)
